With our hotel nestled in our own farmland, we know from daily experience how precious healthy soils, clean water and intact natural cycles are. We have been proud members of BIO HOTELS since 2015. All food, drinks and in-room cosmetics meet 100% organic standards and are independently inspected every year.
We do not leave organic quality to chance:
All food and drinks at our breakfast buffet come from certified organic farming.
Our bathrooms offer only certified natural cosmetics, shower products and shampoos.
We clean our hotel with biodegradable products from Sonett in the nearby Deggenhausertal.
We avoid individually packaged portions and consistently use reusable returnable glass containers.
Our printed materials and hotel brochures are made from recycled paper.
Generated entirely from regional hydropower and our own photovoltaic installation (220 kWp) with its own battery storage.
Our own woodchip heating system uses timber from the farm forest, fruit tree prunings and 1.5 hectares of renewable miscanthus (elephant grass).
Water-saving fittings on all taps, use of our own spring and a 400 m³ rainwater cistern for irrigation.
Our business is assessed according to the Economy for the Common Good criteria and has its corporate carbon footprint scientifically evaluated regularly. We compost organic waste directly to supply nutrients for our organic fields.

Organic farming in Friedrichshafen-Ailingen
Our own Bioland-certified farming has shaped the special atmosphere of our resort for generations. Organic apples and pears ripen on 20 hectares of orchards, ready to enjoy as pure organic apple juice or fine spirits from our own farm distillery. As a selected biodiversity pilot farm, we deliberately create flower strips and sheltered habitats for wild bees and native birds.
Our 5 hectares of organic grassland provide natural exercise for the farm’s horses and hay for the animals, while 2 hectares of our own woodland supply timber for heating and handcrafted furniture in our accommodation.
